Believe it or not, this isn't the first puppet movie to be released, but I'm sure it's the first R-rated one released in the U.S. "Meet the Feebles" wasn't technically "marionettes", and besides that, it would get an NC-17 at this point in time. Anyone who's checked out the most recent Rolling Stone will have noticed this as #1 of the Fall movies with the "South Park" pedigree, but I actually find it hard to believe that it could be more incredible than Brad Bird's "The Incredibles."

Well Kraft, as is usually the intent of anything done by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, they are trying to offend everyone. According to what they say about it, it sounds like the first half could be produced by Michael Moore and the second by Rush Limbaugh. Not literally, of course, but just because of the way each part leans politically.

Yea, well you see this one? This was my dream, my wish....and it didn't come true. So I'm taking it back, I'm taking them all back. -Face

I am really looking forward to this movie! Matt and Trey make me laugh consistently, and I love their brand of offensive humour. The marionettes concept is brilliant and perfectly timed! I heard them say that they would not be surprised if they get blacklisted because of this film. More power to Matt Stone and Trey Parker!

I saw it on Saturday at the Village in Westwood. It is DAMNED funny. I recommend it to anyone who has even the slightest sense of humor. The only complaint I heard about it leaving the theater was that it didn't specifically poke fun at George Bush. (And incidentally, there was no John Kerry in it). What it does do is finally poke fun at the Hollywood elite such as Susan Sarandon, Tim Robbins, Alec Baldwin, Garafolo, etc. -- all a part of the Film Actors Guild ("F.A.G." -- yes, don't go see this if you don't want to be offended or can't laugh at yourself or potentially "off-color" jokes). But no, it's not a neo-conservative flick... It pokes fun at the American mentality of being the world police, hunting down terrorists at all costs (pummeling world monuments, bullheaded "rush to war" impulses, etc.). But it's great fun. Check it out!!!

SOUTH PARK GUYS LAMPOON MICHAEL MOORE from Daily Studio Briefing (10/14/04) South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone are taking pains to describe their Team America: World Police, due to be released on Friday, as an equal opportunity offender. The movie not only satirically attacks the Bush administration's handling of the war on terror but also many of the celebrities who rail against it, including Martin Sheen, Tim Robbins, Susan Sarandon, Janeane Garofalo, Samuel L. Jackson, Matt Damon, Helen Hunt, and, most especially, Michael Moore. Stone told today's (Thursday) Toronto Globe & Mail that he included Moore in his film (as a hot-dog munching suicide bomber) because he was outraged over a segment of Moore's last documentary. "I did an interview for Bowling for Columbine because I'm from Littleton [where Columbine High School is located]. He asked me to do it. ... People think we did that [South Park-type] animation that comes after us in the movie, but we didn't. It's so anti-American and mean, and I was just bummed out because people thought I did that."

Ok, I just saw it! Heres what I thought:
Absolutely hilarious! I was laughing so hard that I could barely breathe for the first 30 minutes. No kidding!
Then there was about a section that wasnt as funny but still very enjoyable to watch.
And finally, It got hilarious again at the end.
I can honestly say that I have never laughed as hard in a movie before Team America! Although CONSTANTLY incredibly crude and racist, this was one of the funniest movies Ive ever seen!
Trey Parker and Matt Stone have been promoted in my book from very gifted to absolute geniuses.
As with South Park, they both did 90% of the voices and Parker composed and sang 90% of the songs, some of which were pretty catchy, but could not compare to the amazing songs of the South Park movie.
And the puppeteers definately had talent! I mean, this was like Craig Schwartz in "Being John Malkovich" talent! The movements were so well done.
Even better were the visuals. From Paris to Egypt to Kim Jong Il's palace in North Korea, they were all created so well and looked so real, in a puppety sort of way.
One thing that dissapointed me a bit was how as Ray said, they didnt make fun of Bush directly at all. They never even mentioned his name if memory serves me right. Same thing with Kerry. This movie is offending, mean, crude, vulgar, dirty, raunchy, and obsene. But goddam hot dog is it funny!
So as a final word, any adults or sophisticated adolescents like myself, Go see this movie and I guarentee you will laugh your ass off.
But this is certainly in no way a movie for children. Besides the whole movie being packed full of graphic bloody puppet violence and strong language and sexual references, this one puppet sex scene is seriously the right smack on the border that is stopped the MPAA to give this movie an NC-17 rating.
And thank got they didnt cuz then I wouldnt be allowed to see it. (he he)

My dad saw it it was one of the MOST stupidest movies! They kept singing a song about f**k America. How Sad!! I'm glad my dad got rid of it. I mean I don't mind swearing in movies. If you swear a certain way it can be funny. But not the world police movie. Martian Leader.
