What fantasy books do you guys know of which describe the creation of the universe? So far, I have only found: - Silmarilion by Tolkien - - The redemption of Althalus, by David and Leigh Eddings - A darkness at Sethanon, by Raymond E. Feist, the Rift Saga - Memnoch the devil, by Anne Rice Thanks!
Stanislaw Lem has a couple short stories that deal with universe creation. And Jorge Borges' story 'Circular Ruins' certainly has some Genesis overtones. Also, Italo Calvino's 'Cosmicomics' could fall into this category...sort of.
Neil Gaiman's "Murder Mysteries", reprinted in Smoke and Mirrors.

Add A. E. Van Vogt The Weapon Makers

Tad William's 'Otherland' series deals most definitely with the creation of worlds

Margaret Weiss and Tracy Hickman's Dragonlance... Some in Chronicles / Legends then a revision Dragon's of Summer Flame. (As I remember it anyway) It is possible the details are spread all over the multitude of books. 2001 A Space Odyssey (somewhat)
Hopefully... more to come
