Well, since you put it that way, it has to be the Aeneid. New translation just out by Feagles, I think, but I haven't looked at it. OK, here's my quote: "There is no such thing as a moral or an immoral book. Books are well written, or badly written. That is all. " Not one of my favorite writers, but definitely one of my favorite literary personalities.

As far as I'm concerned, you can have it, splashy. I don't know it.

L'ImmoralisteSomeone else can post one. I don't have the energy to think of a line or two that aren't blatantly obvious.

In the absence of anyone else, I'll take it. I've read this book three or so times in my life. It has mattered each time. "There are some people who begin the Zoo at the beginning, called WAYIN, and walk as quickly as they can past every cage until they get to the one called WAYOUT, but the nicest people go straight to the animal they love the most, and stay there."

Of course. I read it myself, then once each to my kids! I hate the Disney one, but I always loved A. A. Milne, with the original Shephard drawings.

Shit, I almost forgot! I thought about doing a tough one only Google could solve, but that's no fun. One of you probably knows this without looking it up. I just finished this book...again. " A cool heavenly breeze took possession of him."

Didn't recognize it, so I googled it. I've never read it, but I saw the movie. You recommend the book?
