Does anyone read Chuck Klosterman? If so, what do you think?

Klosterman's first book, Fargo Rock City, is a genuinely insightful memoir about metal music and growing up in a small town. His second book was a collection of meandering essays that were sometimes insightful, but often egotistical and self-satisfied. Judging from the reviews of his latest book, I'm staying away from Killing Yourself To Live. Pop culture obsessions are fine in your teens and even your early twenties, but by the time a person hits 35 it's time to engage with the world beyond the latest episode of 'Real World'.
