Were the children including Nakata interfered with by a UFO ?
Is Johnnie Walker the sculptor Tamura’s soul/ghost caught in limbo?
Has the Boy named Crow just flown in from a Carlos Casteneda book?
Is Kafka Tamura living the prophecy of Oedipus?
How is it that Nakata and Kafka are in the picture as well as Miss Saeki ?
Does the record ‘Kafka on the Shore’ exist outside the novel ?
Do you have to understand Japanese Ghost stories to follow the book ?

i think miss saeki is not kafka's mother, i think kafka is confused as to his identity and purposely constructs an imaginary world where characters are roped in to tie in with his theory. The Oepidian legacy is just too convenient for all the weird happenings and I think Murakami did not finish the story as I would have liked. It's one thing to be abstract and another totally different matter to be obscure and self-referential. Clean up your mess next time, Mr Murakami.
