I had been waiting to see "Capote" for a while, "Transamerica" was intriguing and "Brokeback Mountain" looked like a winner. Unfortunately, my community has little taste in movies. At first, all three of those movies were absent from my borough's theaters (all 3 of them, well after their release dates). Then finally, "Brokeback Mountain" premiered in one theatre, only one, but it was enough to spread to the other two. Until recently (very recently) "Capote" was not wanted by the citizens of my community and was not shown. For all I know, it still isn't wanted by most of "us." The good news is, it's finally being showed (twice a day in one theatre). Sadly, "Transamerica" is still a no-show, and I doubt it will ever show up here, but at least I've got the other two.
