Just got his latest album, On the Jungle Floor, and it's absolutely insane. It sorta loses momentum near the end, but it's still amazing.

There are moments that almost sound like Prince and Curtis Mayfield tributes, but I'll take a tribute over a ripoff any day.

Thoughts?

listen to Eric Roberson... and as far as Lee Fields goes, I'm a quid pro quo kinda dude. All about sharing good music.

So I'll throw some music at you and you do the same.

pm me if you want to hear some honest Soul music.

Van is cool with me, reminds me a little of Sly, and some early Prince. Plus he's a home-boy, his wife or ex-wife (not sure anymore)is good friends with my ex-girl, so remember when they were all in the Bobby Brown circle, back in the early 90's

Agreed. His album Presents: The Vault, Vol. 1.5 is a bulldozer. Excellent album. I totally recommend it to anyone who is into genuine Soul music.
