Hi. Is anyone here familiar with a version of the Delfonic's "Break Your Promise" recorded during 1982 by an Indianapolis, IN area group called "Class"? By the way. I am not sure if that his how the group name is spelled, but that is how it was pronounced on the radio. I have been looking for a copy of this song for years.
If I may, I would like to answer my own post by saying that I found it. The group was Klas and I now have an mp3 copy of their version of Break Your Promise.
I have been trying to locate this version of the same song for awhile. I too am in Indianapolis. How did you get your mp3 copy of this song? I would love to get it and put it in my iPod. Thanks for any help you can provide.
wow. what a coincidence. my wife and i were just discussing this group this morning.I live in indianapolis as well, not too many people remember this group, here anyway, can you please let me know where you found the song? thank you.
I can't believe my eyes! I have been searching for this cut for over fifteen years. Does anyone remember when Ricky Clark used play this song when he hosted "The Blue Room" on WTLC on Saturday nights? LOL Anyway, If you could tell me how I would go about obtaining the mp3 of "Break Your Promise," I would appreciate it greatly!
First off I'd just like to say what a TRUE honor it is to know that "Break Your Promise" is still remembered!!! My father Mr. JP Smith produced this song back in 1982 when I was just 5 years old I remember all of the hard work and time away from home he spent working with Klas. I would also like to thank Larry Jackson and Ricky Gaddis for making this possible. My dad just turned 60 years old this week and I'm certain he will be proud to know his music is still thought of!
Ooops I've made a mistake here! Correction-My dad wrote and produced "Let's Make Love Tonight" which is on the B side of "Break Your Promise." Anyhow, I've spoken with him and am trying to encourage him to re-release this record as there were very few 45's printed. I'll keep you guys posted!
