when talking about legends in the soul field,one name is right near the top..clean gene chandler who started out of chicago with his group[the dukays]who actually recorded the duke of earl with gene in[1962]of course he would go on to fame with classics like-the girl don't care-nothing can stop me-groovey situation-you can't hurt me no more-rainbow 65 and alot more,what's your favorite from the duke?,mine is[river of tears]gene chandler is not only the duke of earl,but the duke of soul.

Been awhile since I heard any Gene Chandler but hands down my favorite song of his is "Groovy Situation".
