Last year Alice Smith took care of being an underground artist. Does anyone know of someone along the same lines but not so much musically.

Sorry, man. I hope someone does list some though. I would be interested in hearing good underground R&B.

The last discovery of underground stuff that I liked is old stuff via those Numero Group releases of unsuccessful local labels. I live in Columbus, Ohio and there were some great unknown artists here in the '60s.

If you can find it, Underground Soul Vol. 1 is a very nice collection. I picked it up from Dusty Groove, where you can find great underground, obscure and well known soul, neo-soul, funk and other sounds from any era. And no, I don't work there.
