Controversial to say the least. I'm would be somewhat ashamed of acting on behalf of America in this movie and maybe even for going to see it as the movie seems to raise some disturbing ethical and moral questions regarding how Americans can take the high moral ground, if it (as in this movie) America resorts to being even more evil than the Nazis themselves. This country has already been through the waterboarding issue with the current Iraqi detainees. Nevertheless I don't deny Quentin Taratino's right to write and direct this movie. He's not one to shy away from such disturbing movies. I'm more likely to see the two war movies that came out last year instead - Defiance and Valkyrie.

I agree this movie is going to be quite controversial, but as you said, Quentin has the right and isn't going to shy away from such a topic. Personally, I am very intrigued and think this will be a monumental film.

I am also planning to see Defiance!! It got great reviews and I have been wanting to see it ever since it came out... but I'll probably rent it when it comes out on DVD now.

Now this is someone who knows how to hold a decent conversation.

If you're looking for an interesting take on the war genre, or more specifically, the consequences soldiers often suffer because of it, I really can't recommend Waltz with Bashir enough. It's unlike any documentary I've ever seen.
