i dont think the movie Thirteen was based on high school kids but it definitely deals with school, and nikki reed is awesome so i'd go with twilight and thirteen
Oh man, Thirteen was disturbing... I HOPE it wasn't based on real kids, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if it had been. Nikki Reed was good though, yeah.

"X-Men" is definitely one of the most inaccurate movies about school life.
Yes, "School of Rock" is surprisingly good, and its balanced depiction of the headmistress is different.
"Election" is the best of both worlds in that it winningly captures school life for teachers and students alike.
"Donnie Darko" didn't seem to get a mention in this thread.
Good examples are few and far between, and "Dead Poets Society" or "Good Will Hunting" are sickeningly saccharine, predictable fare. Give me "Election" or "Rushmore" any day over that schmaltz.
