I've been in the mood to see movies set in some sort of summer camp, and they can be comedies (Meatballs), horrors (Friday the 13th), dramas (Indian Summer), etc. Let me know your favorite "camp" movies.

Two favorite camp movies might be a little off the path but they're worth seeing: Sleepaway Camp (1983) -- a touch tawdry but really wild. AND Camp (2003)-- really sweet & an excellent re-imagining of the "summer camp" movie...

Wow. Two Sleepaway Camp fans. That's a truly excellent bad movie. For other reasons I'd recommend Wet Hot America Summer. Not enough people saw this, and it baffled some who did, but if you grew up in the golden age of cable TV, this one's for you.

I LOVED Wet Hot American Summer. Truly funny take on the summer camp genre. Excellent call. I think I have to buy the DVD of that one right now.

RayRay, do you live in my Cali or Colombia? In my Cali, that O'Neill/ McNichol/ Dillon/ Assante flick was called "Little Darlings." There was a movie called "Foxes" starring Jodie Foster, directed by Adrian Lyne, which came out in 1980 as well.
