You mean Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, right? I'm shocked to see that movie pop up on anyone's list. I thought it was a very good movie - one of the best of the decade so far, even.
I agree, that's probably one of my favorite films of the 00s. I am also shocked that someone would consider it to be one of the worst films they've ever seen.

I third the sentiment.

IMO, Charlie Kaufmann is the most original screenwriter working, and Eternal Sunshine is his most realized work. As in Being John Malkovich he uses a surreal premise to illustrate a universal truth about humanity. It's a modern day fable. The catch is that even working in a completely absurd universe, he manages to write a story about romantic relationships that rings truer than the majority of other films tackling this subject.
Like Dork said...Best relationship movie since Annie Hall.

I really like bad films. Stuff like Flowers in the attic, Battlefield Earth, Plan 9 from outer space, Reefer Madness etc. I laughed a lot. Sometimes a really awful film can be much more entertaining than a dull one.
I find the worst films are so dull you can't even remember watching them, so if a piece of scenery wobbles, or Arnold Schwarzenegger can't say 'DO IT NOW!' properly, it livens things up a little (albeit accidental).
My favourite bad film has to be The evil beneath Loch Ness. It seems to have been filmed in America on a stupidly low budget.
If you've ever been to Loch Ness, you'll know it's not a hot sunny place where tourists in bikinis drink Budweiser on sandy beaches. The accents in the film are questionable, the underwater scenes are laughable (when people drop things they fall quickly to the ground with a heavy 'thunk') and the plot is directly stolen from Jaws - The monster eats tourists and a reward is offered for it's death, leading to a hilarious scene where someone says 'They got the wrong monster'. Apparently Loch Ness is absolutely full of monsters these days.
The ending (spoiler alert as if you care) features a local man in a kilt with half his face blue painted blue (ala Braveheart). He swims off to fight the monster single handed with a harpoon. He wears an old style deep sea diver's helmet throughout the whole battle. His character is similar to Willy the caretaker from The Simpsons
The CGI 'special effects' are truly dreadful and the acting is pathetic (although the 'man with blue face' does quite well).
Despite this I laughed a lot and enjoyed the film. Should I seek professional help?

That was an actual line in the movie! Terrible, can't remember why I actually watched the whole thing.

Wow, there's just so many bad movies to choose from.
Right of the bat I'd have to say that the movie "Close Call" is the worst i've ever seen. It stars the Lawnmower Man guy, Jeff something. Horrible beyond belief.
And to the guy who picked "jury duty", I loved that movie, in fact I love everything Pauly Shore has ever done. My friends don't understand why, but I just love the guy. Biodome is another gem. Check it out.
Dashboard Confessional could perish in a plane over the Everglades, get eaten by alligators, thrown up by alligators and, have their vomited corpses crapped on by a hepatitis infected Nick Nolte look a like, and I wouldn't care enough to even be on the sidelines cheering.

Only movie I've ever rented and never finished: Warlords of the 23rd Century (a very bad Mad Max/Road Warrior wannabe). However, with that name and the extremely low budget, I would not call that the worst film.
That honor has to go to one of the two movies I almost walked out of the theater on...
Scary Movie - it was supposed to be funny??? My wife and I went and were *very* happy when the audio had major problems about 30 minutes in and we got a refund.
Pulp Fiction - I know I'm in the minority but both the friend I went with and I *hated* this movie (and both discovered when it was over that we both would have been happy to leave long before it was over). It was not funny and not even entertaining.

Blimey! - Pulp Fiction?
Each to their own I suppose, but are you serious? I thought Pulp Fiction was an incredible film. Inventive ideas, interesting casting and a brilliant script. There are some amazing subtexts at work too.
Then again, I found The evil beneath Loch Ness entertaining. I still haven't had professional help for that condition.
You are right about Scary Movie though. That's shite.
Has anyone seen a late 80s/early 90s film called Slugs? It was adapted from a book by Shaun Hutson and made in Italy (I think).
It ranks as one of the worst films of ALL TIME (including the work of Ed Wood). The plot revolves around a bunch of garden slugs who develop a taste for human flesh. We're never told why the victims couldn't outrun them.
One scene features a terrified man hitting 6 or 7 average sized slugs with a frying pan (with horror soundtrack). It's all badly dubbed into English.
Slugs is sadly deleted, but owing to the magic of youtube I was able to find film critic Jonathon Ross interviewing Shaun Hutson about the film. Ross plays a couple of scenes. It's very funny.
The other night they showed Rambo:First Blood part II on TV - it's dreadful, although I like the bit with the 'exploding man', which reminded me of Monty Python's 'art of not being seen'.
It's definitely one of the worst films I've seen. Stallone's speech at the end is SO cringewirthy, I fear I may have to have my buttocks surgically unclenched -
'I just want my country to love me as much as I love it'.

1. Men in Black It is incredible to see how this became the first film that was so boring, it made me sleep. And I was watching it in daylight!
2. Dumb and Dumber Not only is it illogical but I never laughed! The jokes were extremely bad, predictable and crude.
Men in Black deffo, but Dumb and Dumber? That was cool, completely retarded, but I laughed a few times. Anyone seen Pirates 3 yet. Is it really as bad as I read?
Master of Disguise(I love Dana Carvey, but his career must really be in the dumps after SNL) any Hulk Hogan film any Shaq film, *especially* Shazam Stop or my Mom will shoot
