I actually think we have some interesting topics which are languishing, so I thought I'd start another one, although maybe this won't thrill everyone. I remember a long time ago, it was reported that the longest kiss in film history was in "Big Top Pee-wee" by Pee-wee Herman and Penelope Ann Miller. (I didn't mean this to be a disgusting topic, but I saw it and didn't gag.)
What do you think is the best kiss in film history, or at least, something memorable? My choice is a no-brainer, the first appearance of Grace Kelly in "Rear Window." In a completely-silent scene, she appears to a just-awake James Stewart and gives him the hottest, slow-motion (!) kiss. What a way for a guy to wake up. Their dialogue after is also especially intimate.
Does this topic strike any chords? If you think it's not macho enough, go to adventure and respond to the new car chase thread. Or go there even if you respond here.

I'd have to say my favorite kiss scene has to be any scene in the little-seen movie CQ between the star Angela Lindvall and anyone else in the cast. She is freakin' amazing.

Yes, I saw it and she is VERY attractive. I guess we're lucky that Coppola went with a non-actress. I'm also liable to start a riot if I say "CQ" shows Roman Coppola to be a better writer/director than his sister.

I know it's not a movie, but my favorite on film kiss is Kevin Arnold kissing a pre-mathematician Winnie Cooper on the eyelid while sitting in the car on "the Wonder Years".
From the moment audiences first saw it in 1951 until now and forever, the best cinematic kiss will always be the one between Montgomery Clift and Elizabeth Taylor shot in extreme closeup over Clift's shoulder in A Place in the Sun.
It's a beautiful scene with the lovely and romantic disolves and it's the two most beautiful faces you could ever imagine with Clift and Taylor. Added to it their own personal friendship and love between each other in real life, makes it a marvelous thing both in the context of film and outside of it.
Elizabeth Taylor's hubby Richard Burton once told Clift at a diner invitation that "She's married to me, but you're the one she loves."
Sure there's other great kisses. Clark Gable forcing himself on Vivien Leigh in Gone With the Wind, Jimmy Stewart dressing up Kim Novak in Vertigo, and many others. But A Place in the Sun transcends them all and is not only cinema's great kiss, but also one of it's crowning moments.
i'm going to have to make that a tie between the first kiss between humphrey bogart and ingrid bergman in casablanca, and the hot makeout scene between clare danes and leonardo dicaprio in romeo+juliet, so hot!

The most memorable kiss was between Christopher Reeve and Michael Cain in "DeathTrap." I was like 10 when I saw that, and it freaked the crap out of me. (And the drool bridge that resulted from it grossed me out a bit). Now it's all good, but for a kid that age, it was a little off-putting.

Starter for 10 had a great kiss... James McAvoy said he'd never smiked before and Alice said it was what she was (2nd) best at, then she took a hit and breathed it into his mouth and he inhales and you can see the smoke being sucked into his mouth... then they kiss. That was pretty hot.
