Celebrating Valentine's Day a little late this year--this weekend... so what are good date movies to see?

I really wish Failure to Launch was out...It's coming in March but looks like it would be the perfect thing for the occassion...just have to wait a little longer. Anyone with me?

Seriously, "Life is Beautiful" is a film that will melt your girl's panties, but it's also pretty entertaining for dudes, too. Perfect date film. The first time I "got to know" my girlfriend at the time (she had made me wait four months) was as soon as we got home from seeing this film.

Right now in Canada the best date movie is The Stone Angel The Stone Angel. This is a film about marrying the wrong guy and living a tragic life alone - what a modern horror movie. Its perfect for firming up a commitment from your girl on the 'big night'.

This might sound ridiculous, but Smart People turned out to be a good date movie for me. It has enough laughs to keep you both sparkling, and characters are likable despite their flaws. It has Ellen Page in it, whom many girls probably adore and are looking to see more of after her star turn in Juno. Critics didn't like it much, but it really is fairly good movie.
