What if a major wide-release movie came out focused on the target population of young girls and nobody came? That's what appears to have happened when it came to Metacritic's film reviews for Kit Kittredge that opened yesterday (July 4, 2008). There aren't any. USA Today calls it "Spunky 'Kit' has kaboodles of charm." Did somebody forget that this movie exists?

It took a little looking but the limited release of "1,843" movie theaters and a number eight box-office listing made this movie a little hard to discover as it wasn't considered a major release this week. But Metacritic did have a rating, "63."
