What has happened to the cornerstone of family entertainment? Why has Michael Eisner driven Disney into the crapper? Do you guys think that Disney can make it out of this hole? When do you think they will realize that making all of these sequels is a bad idea?

Just some questions to spark some discussion.

I'm with ya Jakal. What happened to the days of Classic Mickey Mouse and Pluto, and Snow White and Alice and even Lion King and Little Mermaid? My company brought in a guest speaker a couple months ago for our clients and then a special private meeting with just our company. His name was Mike Vance (do a google search). He worked side by side with Walt and helped him create the Disney empire not to mention helping him build Disneyworld from the ground up. His stories of him and Walt were fascinating. He talked about how Walt was such a dreamer and "out-of-the-box" thinker and that making children happy was all he cared about. What happened to that dream? Does Eisner think Walt would be proud of him? I don't think so. It seems a legacy is dying.

Yea, well you see this one? This was my dream, my wish....and it didn't come true. So I'm taking it back, I'm taking them all back.

DREAMS DO COME TRUE! All you have to do is follow Jiminy Cricket's advice, "Wish upon a star." Well I think enough people did, adn Michael Eisner said that he would be stepping down in 2006. Maybe we'll get somebody who is worth a damn now.

Once you take away all the people who have created, developed and worked for you all you have left over is somebody who just got paid & didn't share ANY of it. Since 1995 it was evident he needed someone to assist him. But I guess he wouldn't listen. Welcome to the real world of losing a job and having to work for a living.
