"Night at the Museum""Cloverfield""The Golden Compass""I can't live the buttoned down life like all of you! I want it all: the terrifying lows, the dizzying highs, the creamy middles! Sure, I might offend a few of the blue-noses with my cocky stride and musky odor - oh, I'll never be the darling of the so-called 'City Fathers' who cluck their tongues, stroke their beards, and talk about what's to be done with this Monkey_Boy?!"

I just watched Rambo. I think Sylvester Stallone is a geopolitical savant. He made this movie (or started making it) several years before the Burmese (Myanmar, whatever) typhoon this year, which opened the world's eyes to how bad the situation is over there. In a way, it's a shame this movie didn't get released at around the same time, so people could see how bloody awful that regime is. Watching the movie now actually makes it quite poignant, and it makes all the criticism of gratuitous violence seem kind of misguided. Somehow, Stallone had his pulse on what is really going on over there. You know what I was wondering throughout the whole movie? Where the hell does the Burmese government get all these weapons, because they sure as hell don't manufacture them over there. The world needs to wake up to this situation, and it's a sad statement, but Rambo could have been a step in that direction. Seriously. ********************** Metal-Archives POTDquote: im looking for pretty much the most uninspired/unoriginal brutal and/or slam death. with little or no variation in vocals. stuff like disgorge(us) and condemned.
