I know some people may disagree, but I love twist endings. I love the feeling I get when the plot of a movie makes a completely unexpected turn and you are left in shock and awe. So heres a place to post which movies you think have the best twist endings, and remember, if you must describe the actual ending itself, be sure to put it in black as not to spoil the movie for anyone.

My favorite twist WOULD have been "The Sixth Sense," but unfortunately somebody ruined it for me before I saw the movie, and so I wasn't very surprised.

So, putting that aside, my two favorite twists would have to be "Psycho" and "Witness for the Prosecution."

My favorite twist in any movie, is in "The Usual Suspects" it was a very good movie. "Psycho" was very good as well (We are talking about the original, correct?). I didn't much like "The Sixth Sense" sure it had a twist ending, but I just wasn't very surprised, and there were a couple plot problems. I know that worst twist ending isn't here, but I must say that "Gothica" was very mediocre.

I love twists! Good thinking cheese. All of the Agatha Christie novels I have read have great twists. Even though those arent movies, I am considering them for this discussion.

Some of my favorites- Agatha Christie

Witness for the prosecution
And Then there were None
Murder on the Orient Express
Death on the Nile

Others

Identity
The Sixth Sense- even though I already knew
The Village

Ummm... I cant think of any more now, Im going to add some later probably.

I completely forgot about "Identity" that was pretty cool, and "Fight Club" had a pretty good twist to it.

Yeah, I liked the twist in "Identity" although I'm not sure if it was completely believable. I never saw "Fight Club" but want to but I did see "Se7en" which is by the same director and that had a pretty cool ending, I don't know if many people would call it a true "twist" but I would.

Oh, and yes Mike, we are talking about the original "Psycho."

Let's twist again.I used to like a twist ending in a movie until Shamalamadingdong got a hold of the concept. Now I anticipate the twist, and forget about actualy watching the movie. Thew twist in "The Non-sense" was telegraphed a mile away, and although I havn't seen "The Village idiot", I know the twist, and have had it confirmed by people who have seen it. Just about every murder mystery or soap opera depends on a twist, so twisting in and of itself is not enough. Some intelligence is required in coming up with a twist that is not just for twists sake, and the last movie to fit this catagory is "Fight club". This movie, along with "The usual suspects", shows that knowing the twist does not detract from the enjoyment of repeated viewing, because these movies do not DEPEND on the twist as only a gimmick.

I know they've already been mentioned but Sixth Sense and Fight Club definitely. I also loved the Game and Memento - they you guessing the whole time! Movies like Road to Perdition weren't technically twist endings, but I like when you think the movie is over and something big happens that changes it in the last few seconds.

I love twist endings, as long as they make sense.
My favourites are: The Sixth Sense, The Empire Strikes Back, Blade Runner, The Village, Citizen Kane but my favourite has to be The Planet of the Apes (original): brilliant!

!!!SPOILER!!!But "The sixth sense" didn't make any sense (How come Bruce Willis' character didn't notice the gaping wound in his gut until after he realised he was dead?).
I could go on about the inconsistincies of this movie for hours, but i just can't be bothered. Why give this over-rated piece of rubbish any more attention than it already has got.

I agree that there are some inconsistencies in the 6th sense, but I still thought it was pretty well done and they definitely fooled me with the "twist" at the end. When they go back at the end and show him at dinner when his wife can't hear him and stuff, I thought that was pretty clever.

I don't really want to go on about this movie (so then why are you?), but apart from the highly contrived "twist" ending, what else does this movie have going for it????

"Witness for the Prosecution" I never saw coming. I kinda predicted the part about Deitrich and as to why she was giving damaging evidence towards Tyrone Power, but I never figured on it ending the way it did.

"All About Eve" had a surprise, but it was a surprise that the audience should have saw coming through the hints. I guess it was more of a great character revelation than a twist ending. Still great.

Oh, how could I forget the twist at the end of "Manon Des Sources" the excellent sequel to Claude Berri's "Jean De Flourette." Man, that one hit me like a sack of bricks. Highly reccomend it.

If you watched some of the key parts in Fight Club, like the fact that Tylers girlfriend is out of the room whenever Tyler is in the room with our nameless Norton fellow, you'd have figured it out. Plus that twist was the most unimportant twist in the history of mankind. The most pathetic twist was in Basic, and coming in close second is that one from Jolie this year with Ethan Hawke...I cant remember the name but that really was sad. Also, if you are in on the twist, but the main characters aren't, does that constitute a twist?

I thought "Spider" had one of the best twists I've seen in a while.

Some other great twists which I don't think have been mentioned yet:

A Pure Formality
12 Monkeys
Crying Game
