Minority Report- I remember watching this movie a couple years ago and I got very confused with the movie back then. I recently rented the movie and I remember what a good movie this is! Acting is very good and it's a Speilberg movie so it's directed very well! Very good twists in the movie as well! Would really recommend for someone that wants to see a good sci-fi action thriller! I give it 9 out of 10
40 yr. old Virgin- Very funny movie and best comedy of the summer easily! Would really recommend to someone that wants to have a good laugh, actually 2 hours of good laughs! I give it 9 out of 10

Had to mention seeing Duel for the first time. If you guys haven't seen this early Spielberg flick, its a must see. Although originally made-for-tv, this film doesn't lack on Spielberg quality. Intense, creative, interesting...in one nice neat little package. Check it out.

Yea, well you see this one? This was my dream, my wish....and it didn't come true. So I'm taking it back, I'm taking them all back. -Face
the last movie i saw in the theater was the devils rejects. i thought it was pretty good overall, much better than house of 1000 corpses, in my opinion.

ok guys...just saw Kung Fu Hustle. YOU MUST SEE THIS MOVIE NOW!!!!! this is probably one of the coolest movies i've seen in a good long while. I went into the movie thinking it would be another spoof/slapstick like Kung Pow but It was far from it. While it did have its over-the-top moments, it actually had a story and even some touching moments. This would have been a great movie to see in the theater.

The Machinist. Christian Bale looked like a Nazi death camp detainee. Average movie. Very Lynch-esque but Lynch does it better. I was thinking Tyler Durden the whole way through.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: I didn't expect to like this, figured all the funny parts would've been in the trailer, but it was actually really good. I liked it just as much as the original. They're different, but in good ways. 8.7/10
Fantastic Four: I went into this expecting to absoloutely love it, the cast looked great... the only parts I liked were the ones with The Thing. It was predictable, and there wasn't really anything special that stood out to me. 5.2/10
Outbreak: Yeesh, watched it with the flu. I liked the sub-plots, and of course the main deadly sickness plot. Fairly well acted, I thought, and I liked the end. I really didn't know what was going to happen. 7/10
Red-Eye: Extremely well acted, and the atmosphere it set was great, but it ended up being just a predictable little thriller. Nothing amazing. Again, very well acted. 6.5/10

Brian, man, Taxi Driver is brilliant. Not just a great soundtrack, but a beautiful character study of a man knocked over the edge. You generally don't see films with this kind of depth, and certainly not so dead pan serious.
True that the character development in this movie was incredible but I don't know I guess I was expecting some action flick which this is not! Still it's a good movie!

Steven Soderbergh adapts and directs the Tarkovsky original and 2001. The technical credits are all impressive. This IS one of those films which utilizes the strengths of the DVD format to showcase its visuals and sound. The story is too "original" to get into, but I will mention that psychologist Clooney, his wife McElhone, and space station scientists Davies and Davis all contribute mightily to the emotional experience. Several reviews mentioned that this was as cold as ice and boring as hell (how do they use two opposite expressions to say the same thing?), but I never got that at all. True, I've fallen asleep to the Tarkovsky film more than once, but what do you expect?
Re: Taxi Driver: I think all the ratings are TOO high. Taxi Driver, which has good acting, good music, and good photography, isn't even a GOOD movie. Wow, I hope this starts something, but IT IS an "honest and unpretentious" comment.

Takes place in Hong Kong, so I assume it's a Chinese film. Somebody compared Lost In Translation to this, which is a decent comparison:
A man and a woman do stuff together and talk about their respective troubled marriages (which are much more troubled in Mood than in Lost). The cinematography is top notch. They have a nice time together, but don't start an affair. Then they part ways and never see each other again.

I agree 110%!!! Amores Perros (Love is a Bitch) is an excellent film. The narrative is excellent, the direction is done perfectly by Innaritu (see 21 Grams), and the post-MTV aesthetic of the film is superb. It really shows the quality of films from Mexico along with Like Water for Chocolate, El Crimen del Padred Amaro, Y tu Mama Tambien and The Devil's Backbone.
If you enjoyed the visual quality of Amores Perros be sure to check out City of God, a Brazilian gangster movie. EXCELLENT FILM!!!

This a great Wong Kar Wai film. It can be slow and very methodical at times but it makes up for it in visual style (the colors are beautiful) and Maggie Cheung and Tony Leung do excellent acting performances. It can be comparable to Lost in Translation only in pacing, the character's situations (sort of), and slightly in narrative (not really).
If you liked In the Mood for Love...check out other WKW films: Fallen Angels (Michelle Reis is so amazing as the assassin's assistant), Happy Together (getting past the opening scene can be rough but is well worth it) and Chungking Express (which also has Tony Leung).

I love In The Mood For...well, Love. I thought 2046 was excellent as well. Underrated in my opinion. Chungking Express i also really enjoyed, Wong Kar Wai is a real genius.
I just saw Crash and it was incredible! An almost perfect movie that I thought was great. Acting was great and I loved how the one car jacking connected all those people. It really made you think about all the characters paths and how they got connected. My only complaint about the movie is the ending that suddenly ends without warning, and that some of the characters always talking about how everone is so racist which after thinking about it and watching this movie, it is, but it gets old sometimes but Crash was trying to send that message obvisiouly. Overall Crash is a beautifully made movie with up and down emotions and is one of the best movies I've seen this year!

One if the my more embarrsing movie that I just recently saw was Transporter 2. I know I know, it's my own fault, but for some reason I actually thought that it might be at least alright to watch. I managed to sit through the horrible unfunny jokes, and the totally fake stunts that they pulled off. I thought it would remind me of a Jackie Chan movie, but it wasn't even on the same level. Since Jackie isn't is getting older and his movies have taken on a more disney approach I thought it would take me back to the old days. But it didn't, It was terrible. At least I spent a free movie ticket on it, but still I could've seen a better free movie
p.s.-I normally don't read Movie reviews only game reviews.
