OK, here's the deal. One person provides a quote from a movie. The next person must name the movie the quote comes from, and then he/she provides another, and so on. Here goes:

"Makin' a filter....Makin' a fiiiiilter...."

(name the movie)

I'm embarrassed to admit that I know this one. It's from the cult classic Pauly Shore / Stephen Baldwin vehicle "Bio-Dome." (when they're trying to get the dome back to homeostasis, and Doyle (Baldwin) is collecting cigarette butts to make an air filter....

OK: Here's my quote:

"Sometime I get the menstrual cramps real hard...."

Raising Arizona

hilarious. Blood Simple and Miller's Crossing are my favorite Coen brothers films and it still amazes me how they slipped such a goofy comedy in between the two.

and the next quote is...

"This business will get out of control. It will get out of control and we'll be lucky to live through it."

The Hunt for Red October

Good flick!

The next quote to guess shall be:

"Do you have this in black leather or barbed wire?"

Weird Science - Lisa (Kelly LeBrock) buying lingere....

OK, how about this:

"I can't really comment at this time, but if see another massive orgie in this place, I'm gonna have to move to Tibet."

Damn it! Another Bio-Dome quote, but a good one, of course.

OK, how about this one:

"There are some pretty spooky things going on one a one-dollar bill...."

My best guess is Dazed and Confused.

This one's sort of easy, but it's the only thing I can think of:

"At least you'll never be a vegetable. Even artichokes have hearts."

I'm pretty sure that's from Amelie.

OK, give this one a try:

"No shoes, no shirt, no diiice... Words to live by. Learn it, know it, live it."

Now unless I'm mistaken, that's Sal in "Do the Right Thing." This brings up a point: what happens when the responder is wrong, but ends up hijacking the site?

Just in case I'm acting normally and full of it, I'll try to make it simple.
"John Wayne?? You're tellin' me he's a fag?"

Here's what happens when you give a wrong answer:

**wRONG***

Or something to that effect. It wasn't "Do The Right Thing" -- it was Fast Times at Ridgemont High

And just to be a good sport about it, you really butchered your next quote, but because I just saw the movie you're going for with your next quote, it's from: Repo Man

OK, here's my next one....

"So, is it going to be percentage or flat rate?

Whose the mark?

Doyle Lannigan.

FLAT RATE."

Very interesting. Your quote is from "The Sting." On the other hand, my quote was from "Midnight Cowboy." Yes, I saw "Repo Man" very recently, and Tracy Walter's character didn't say anything around that burning trash can at all like what Joe Buck said to Ratso Rizzo in "MC", especially since I checked the exact quote before I posted it.

Well, now that we obviously love one another, but still haven't clarified the rules, which after all, supposedly belong to the thread's originator, I'm going for another one.

"The law? What law? Do you see any law, Drew?"

OK, I guess I jumped to conclusions... We'll have to wait until RayRay checks in to see what the rules are with regard to wrong answers. The quote from Repo Man must have been a veiled reference to Midnight Cowboy or something...

Let me take a shot at your next quote.... Is it from my favorite Banjo-playin' movie Deliverance ?

In case I'm right, here's the next one, which should be a gimmie....

"There's a fine line between stupid and clever."

That would have to be my personal #11 film, "This is Spinal Tap."
This one may be more difficult.
"My body is a road map of pain...but pain has its own rewards."

If memory serves that's from Peter Jackson's so-so film "The Frighteners"

This one's from my current favorite movie.

I hope I don't get into another WRONG!, but I'm going with "Mystic River."

Eccentro, it says you're on; if I'm wrong, tell me and I'll delete my post. Otherwise, here's the next one.

"Say the words: I want the roast beef sandwich!"

I'm trying to make this work as easily as possible but being too old, the technology is fu*kin' with me. The current quote, not that I expect anyone to care, is "Say the words...I..want..the..roast beef..sandwich! Say the words!" There, that's the best I could do, adding a little; maybe it'll make it easier.

What movie is that from?

That's a great one, and I'm pretty sure it's from Diner.

(why don't we just put the answer in bold, and the quotation in quotes?) Here's my next one (an easy one):

"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
