It's just...sometimes I feel like I'm the only one with a burning hatred for that horrible, fake bitch J.Lo. I've seen a lot of nauseating behind the scenes footage with her and she has to be the most spoiled, childish human being this side of Jessica Simpson. I cringe when I see her face and hear her shrill voice...even on In Living Colour. There must be a name for this...
I really wish "Jaws" hadn't been made. I don't think it's that great of movie, but I dislike how it brought in the era of the blockbuster film. Now all movies go on that principle, trying to make as much money as they can during their first couple of weekends. As a result you get a bunch of cheap, garbage throwaway films. I'd say maybe 20 percent of the movies released these days are worthwhile with the other 80 percent being just momentary entertainment with no real lasting or redeeming value.
I hate to break this to ya, viddy, but since you weren't alive, you don't know any better. "Jaws" did break box-office records, but that was because it was the best flippin' movie ever made!!! The blockbuster came about after "Jaws". It wasn't "made" to be a blockbuster, but if you want to blame it for every blockbuster you think is crap, go for it. There isn't a single, solitary second in "Jaws" which is crap. Besides being a film about human beings (first and foremost), it's one of the funniest, most-suspenseful, best-acted, best-directed, best-written, best-photographed, best-scored, best-edited films period. The only thing I think I'm wrong about is using the term "one of". I'm sorry, viddy, you made me go off more than I ever have almost anyplace. But "Jaws" is ART!, not some crumbum thing to point at to explain the downfall of commercial American film. I love almost all of your favorite films, but they can't touch "Jaws". Love ya, viddy. I hope you again enjoy "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" tonight.

i have to say whoever decided to make van helsing the way it was made should literally be shot even if you wanna get cynical about it whats the point of putting every classic horror monster in one movie? 1. it smacks of desperation and 2. they could have drawn out the franchise by putting the other monsters in the sequels and made more money and the movie would have been at least slightly more watachable, i have to wonder what kind of idiots are running the studios and greenlighting these things

Or...*gasp* nasty old men, and Micheal Jackson. (sorry, irresponsible post on my part. Please ignore this if you have not a sense of humor) HES GUILTY!!!
hmmmm, its hard for me to come out and condemn someone who was my childhood hero but the fact that he cant just stay away from them after all hes gone thru ( including ruining his career) is pretty damning in and of itself

Most sequals should never get made. It bothers me to NO END that movies are made when there isn't much left after the original to follow it up.
For example: Final Destination 2. The first one got the point through. There was no need for the sequel.
The American Pie series is another. This is just an exapmle of taking one concept and prolonging it into three movies each just like the original, but with slightly different circumstances.
Dirty Dancing 2: Havanna Nights. Granted it IS a prequel, but NOTHING will ever be a great follow up (or leading to) to the original.
Something else that bugs me in sequels is when they don't even have any of the original cast members. Or in Hanninbals case, the return of the original character for the exact same role. (I know this is a whole trilogy here. That's a whole other tangent. I mean when the original characters won't even return to reprise their own role...?)
Too Fast Too Furious. Was this really necessary? Same thing just different equipment.
I could go on for days.
Don't get me wrong. I don't completely hate sequels. There are a few cases where the sequel was better than the original.

Off the top of my head:
Solaris Oceans 12 Enemy at the Gates
What! Why "Enemy at the Gates"? That was a great movie. Perhaps the best (or only??) movie made about Stalingrad. It's good to see some movies focus on other parts of WWII besides just the US point of view. Why do you think it should never have been made???

Seriously, that movie looks sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo horiffic. It doesnt have Jim Carrey, and it just, well just, looks so incredibly not funny. What is the plot anyways? A dog getting the mask and becoming evil? Wait, no, not evil, funny and weird. This movie looks to be centered towards brain-dead four year olds. Seriously, isnt there a better idea for a movie?
