I have to agree with Smenkharon on the Black Knight scene from "Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail". That is the funniest thing that I have ever seen.

The movie scene that has haunted my nightmares for a decade now was the sidewalk stomp from "American History X". I get the creeps just thinking about that.

BUT, I think that the greatest moment in movie history was the "They'll never take our freedom" speech from "Braveheart". I happen to be of Scottish descent, but you don't need to be a skirt-wearing alcoholic penny-pincher to be inspired by that. Honestly, didn't that bit make you want to go out and bust some English skull?

Hi,
I just saw Shrek III on cable TV, and I have to add this scene from that movie to my list of favorites:
Prince (King?) Charming and his cohorts burst into the room, expecting to find Fiona and Shrek, only to discover Pinochio, the 3 Little Pigs, the Big Bad Wolf, and the Gingerbread Man having a tea party. Prince Charming makes a comment about being the "real" King of Far, Far Away, to which the Gingerbread Man responds by yelling: "The only thing you'll ever be King of is King of the STUPIDS!"
For some reason, that comment struck me as being very funny...

There are too many to put here, but here is a sampling:
Conrad and Dad sitting on the back patio in "Ordinary People." The radio commentary of the good ol boy (Billy Bob Thorton) being converted by the Apostle Robert Duvall in "The Apostle." The opening and closing monologues in "The Libertine" by Johnny Depp. John Ritter attempting to engage Billy Bob Thorton in deep converstaion in the diner in "Sling Blade." Ducky mouthing and dancing "Try a Little Tenderness" in "Pretty in Pink." And of course, "Mama,I see dead people" in "Sixth Sense".

Boy, you got to carry that weight a long time!

Raising Arizona = when he's getting the diapers and the cops are after him.

Spinal Tap = Talking about his amps going to 11.

The Dark Knight = Opening movie scene (Joker introduced).

Spider-Man 2 = "Raindrops are falling on my head" after he quits being Spider-Man.

Star Wars = "Use the force Luke" in the original.

Monty Python = Black Knight Scene.

Napolean Dynamite = When he tells the girl she could be drinking regular milk.

The Sixth Sense = I see dead people scene.

If you guys disagree with me, thats probably because I'm not a movie critic.

In Once the first time Glen and Marketa play Falling Slowly together in the guitar shop.

Charlie Wilson's War, in the scene where Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Tom Hank's characters meet and the scene switches between their conversation and Charlie trying to avoid a scandal.

The end of American Beauty.

In Army of Darkness when Good Ash is burying Evil Ash, he tells him "Hey Whats that on your face?" And proceeds to shovel a pile of dirt right on his face. Classic.
