I'm starting to build a movie library and am looking for movies with some replay value. I am very open minded about new movies and am wondering what are some movies that have the most replay value for you(even if they are obscure personal favorites).
These the ones I have so far: American Beauty, Blade Runner, The Big Lebowsky, The Bourne Trilogy, Children of Men, Chinatown, City of God, Eternal Sunshine, Fight Club, Hot Fuzz, Howl’s Moving Castle, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Lost in Translation, Memento, Monty Python(all three), Pan’s Labyrinth, Princess Mononoke, Paprika, The Proposition, Shaun of the Dead, Sin City, Snatch, Superbad, Spirited Away, Taxi Driver, Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the were-rabbit.

Psycho. Who Framed Roger Rabbit? L.A. Confidential. 2001: A Space Odyssey. Fear & Loathing In Las Vegas. Fargo. Pulp Fiction. Bride Of Frankenstein (& Frankenstein). Citizen Kane. Chicago. Indiana Jones Trilogy (yes, the trilogy). 12 Angry Men. The Truman Show. Dr. Strangelove.

Hot Fuzz is on my list, it has endless replay value. As for some of the other suggestions I forgot and will add are: Fargo, Fear and Loathing, Ghostbusters, Raiders of The Lost Ark (the actress in Temple of Doom vastly diminishes the replay value for me), Star Wars trilogy, and Goodfellas.
And for the movies on my list to watch are : 2001 A Space Odyssey, Citizen Kane, L.A. Confidential, Psycho, Adaptation, Truman Show, and Dr. Strangelove for now.
12 Angry Men is one of those movies i really like but for some reason don't feel like watching more than twice. I also feel like watching Little Nicky now, I've started it tons of times and never finished because of commercials.

No, no, no. Hot Fuzz is okay, but has little replay value, for me at least, compared to Shaun. Shaun is one of those faithful comedies I can always go back to when I'm with friends and we can't decide what to watch - it is funny throughout the movie whereas I think Hot Fuzz only picks up in the last quarter or so, then relies more on action parody less so than plot to finish it. I see that you added the Star Wars trilogy, which is a good choice. Also, nice to see Children of Men. For some reason I watched that like 5 times last year, whether on an international flight or just because it was on when I walked in the room.
Some of the others mentioned are really only ones I would want to watch once or twice even if they are (rightly) considered to be some of the greatest movies such as Eternal Sunshine, Memento, Fargo, Goodfellas (or any Mafia related movie), and especially '2001'.
Really though I only get significant replay value from Television series, and usually only from comedy ones at that. The Simpsons, the Office, Arrested Development, Seinfeld, King of the Hill...

Funny you bring up tv shows because that is all I had up to now. Mainly Home Movies, The Office, Spaced, The Simpsons, Futurama, and my favorite Arrested Development. As for the movies I decide what joins the collection once I watch them a second them, because even though I like tons of movies I find myself not wanting to rewatch that many.

I concur. I find sitcoms/TV comedies much more consistently watchable. Meaning that I think I find comedy more enjoyable in 30-minute intervals. Reruns are about the only thing I watch on TV these days (not including LOST and The Office, but that's about it).
I would add I Love Lucy & Everybody Loves Raymond to that list.
Now, back to movies.
I would add: Casino. Chinatown. Alien & Aliens. Edward Scissorhands. Young Frankenstein. The Player. Jurassic Park (the first only). Ed Wood.
I can understand anyone who only wants to watch "2001" once or twice, being that it's a bit overwhelming and confusing the first (second, third, heck, even fourth) time around. But there are A few of us who get something new every time we watch a film that's so complex and stimulating.

I just watched 2001 and Before the Devil Knows You're Dead today. 2001 will join the collection for sure and even though I really enjoyed Before the Devil Knows You're Dead (hot props to Marisa Tomei ) I don't think I will buy it. I definitely recommend both so check them out if you can.

Here's a few from me: Back to the future (trilogy) Pleasantville The Matrix (trilogy) Groundhog's Day Brokeback Mountain Contact Spiderman / X-men (both 1 and 2, NOT 3) Lord of the Rings (extended triology) Almost Famous Man on the Moon
Silence of the Lambs is one that I can never get enough of.
Another you should check out is Primer. This demands repeated viewings simply because it's so difficult to understand. By comparison, Memento seems about as easy to follow as Bambi. Don't be put off, though; it's still really cool.

Primer is an excellent movie made on an extremely limited budget...I've watched it 3 or 4 times and I'm still not exactly sure how what happened. Great movie for nerds.
And I love that Rushmore quote.

Holy Crap I was out for a few days (traveling for 4th of july) and now I have more recommendations than I know what to do with. Thank you very much for the suggestions as I assure you they have been noted.
Movies I'm ashamed I forgot: Groundhog Day, Chinatown, When Harry Met Sally, My Cousin Vinny.
Movies added to the very long "to see" list: Damn, just about everything although Primer did get pushed up on the list.
