I guess your dream is coming true. There is now a Gilgamesh movie in pre-production. There are no real "big" actors to be in it as of now, except perhaps Peter O'Toole, and the director (from his past experience) doesnt seem to be that great, but we'll have to wait and see, it could be good. Oh yeah, and the release date says 2004 but that obviously is incorrect.

Yeah I noticed that just recently too. I love the Peter O' Toole and Omar Sharif castings. Max Ryan is playing Gilgamesh, he is fairly unknown, I have only seen him as Dante in League of Extraordinary Gentleman. The fact that Roger Christian is directing is a little frightening. His good points-production designer on Alien, art director on Life of Brian, and set decorator on Star Wars. His bad points-assistant director on The Phantom Menace, director of Masterminds and 'gasp', Battlefield Earth! Noooooooooooooooooooo!

I'm actually writing a screenplay for my own pleasure... :P i can always watch it in my head if i get bored. Anyways its pretty good so far, it wouldnt be too costly to make, and is free to write (except for time consumption)
wouldn't it be funny if every one stopped watching movies because they decided it's cheaper to just write one and watch it in their head? haha, that would be great!
Anyway, I myself dont have any awesome ideas. I think Ill go write one and watch it in my head!
Okay, stay with me here, "Halo: The movie." with the cinamotography, it is already almost a movie and if you could create an original story instead of using the ones in the game it could make a great movie. I am still thinking about who could play the part of Master Chief but that can be worked out.

Well considering he wears a helmet...I think just about anyone (possibly the actual VOICE of master chief)could do a good job after extensive physical training (hopefully the voice of Chief isn't an obese blob.
By making master Chief have a voice distortion system you are KIND OF going a little Star Wars, which isn't something you want the audience to think you are imitating, since we are in the Sci-Fi genre its best to stay away from those sort of traps.
The thing about you is, you aren't too blunt with your opinions. I would like to know what you honestly feel, but find myself sorting through your sarcasm. If you are being honest then yes, that does sound better although a voice distortion is still akward because what? Is he going to be a skinny little guy with a manly distorted voice (just explain further, I wan't to hear.) And if you ARE being sarcastic, as I believe you are, screw off and get a job, I see you've posted almost 160 in all of about 3 days...all I can say is wow.
Hey, looks like there gonna actually do it. See for yourself. It doesn't look like anything is for sure yet, as the release date isn't til 2006. They are mentioning Ridley Scott as a possible director...Hopefully it will live up to the greatness of the game(s).

I am trying to cork an honest opinion out of you and you are being useless and deconstructive :P dude, just talk movies, if you look above you will see that you made the provocation by being snippy about my comment on your voice distortion system.
Just trying to get to calm the raging storm, thats all. I hope you do truly appreciate all efforts I am putting forth to apologize. I consider "Halo" the movie EXTREMELY important. Let us all pray that it isn't a producer affair.

I certainly agree with you there. It can become something of which the world has never seen before or simply another "Street Fighter." It should either be done well or not done at all.

Hahahah, no offense to the Japanese, but that is where Street Fighter was adapted. Hopefully America will put its video-game baby into good hands. (Pretty much a repeat of what I said earlier)
I guess i have a movie idea. Someone should make a movie about...a man from who is from hell but lives on earth wants to got to heaven when he dies instead of back to hell. And satan sends someone from hell to kill him and send him to the damned but they are both very strong and fight almost throughout the whole movie. Then Lucifer himself comes upon the earth and burns almost everything. Demons are scattered everywhere and the man must stay alive or kill everything in his path. I just thought i'd want to see a movie like constantine but with more action in it.
